Girls On the Run is an after school program for girls aged 8-12. The program aims to build self-esteem and help preteens make healthy choices by inspiring them through running. Each girl graduates from the program with a tool belt for life - to use if confronted with issues such as bullying, body image, alcohol, drugs, depression etc. Each running practice has a theme: during stretch they are introduced to the topic, run a few laps, discuss the topic, etc. They have another program called Teens on Tracks.
